ELECTRIC PUSH: The Indian government introduced the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS), in 2024, aimed at boosting the sales of electric two-wheelers (e2W) and three-wheelers (e3W) across the nation. Minister of Heavy Industries, Mahendra Nath Pandey, revealed that the government has earmarked Rs 500 crore for this new initiative, which will remain in effect for four months starting now. Scheduled to kick off on April 1, the upcoming scheme will replace the existing F...aster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles- Phase-II program.
